(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kota Ozawa; hereinafter “CryptoGames”) have entered into a strategic partnership agreement regarding “Xross Road”, a Web3 platform for developing IP content, operated by CryptoGames. extra mile will lead the handling of IP licenses for this project, and both companies will work together toward the success of Xross Road.

Xross Road aims to be an IP platform that develops Japanese IP (content) in the global market through multimedia and the Web3 ecosystem including blockchain games and the metaverse.

As a platform, we are committed to respecting the copyrights held by Japanese IP holders and original authors, and gradually decentralizing IP content, with the goal to expand the possibilities of Japanese IP to the world. As a first step, we will focus on characters and novels, and in the future, we will develop multimedia content, including games and anime, to maximize the value of Japanese IP and contribute to the development of the content industry.

CryptoGames has a global track record in the blockchain game sector. In addition to blockchain games, we have been promoting the development and operation of blockchain game platforms and will contribute to the expansion of this platform operation.

extra mile has been developing blockchain games since the launch of its blockchain business in 2021, and will lead the licensing of IP content on the Web3 platform Xross Road, which aims to maximize the value of IP content.

Through this collaboration, CryptoGames, which has expertise in the development and operation of blockchain platforms, and extra mile, which is deep understanding of IP handling, will collaborate to make it possible to globally develop Japanese IP on Xross Road as a variety of optimized content, such as games, Webtoons, and light animations.
